In either a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, you must obtain court permission to sell or refinance your home. In a Chapter 7 you
must have permission to sell your house for 180 days after your filing date. After a discharge in a Chapter 13, you may qualify for a new home loan based on your reestablished credit.
