Department of Defense reduces the number of furlough days

DOD employees will only have 6 unpaid days off instead of the projected 11 days. The Defense Department announced that the furlough period has been reduced from 11 days to 6 days. However, they have warned that there may be further cutbacks next fisical year to include additional furloughs or layoffs.
